Analytics Researcher
Position Summary:
Slide is a data driven company and we are looking for someone with exceptionally strong quantitative and analytical skills to perform detailed analyses and use them to guide feature development. At Slide, you will have the opportunity to build sophisticated models, prototype data driven features, and see them released to hundreds of millions of people around the world.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct deep data driven analyses that answer business critical questions
- Liaise with the Product team to ensure that all key metrics are being tracked with each product release
- Gather, track and analyze key performance metrics to provide explanations for significant changes and drive overall business growth
- Perform both regular and ad-hoc analyses using both Python and MySQL to manipulate large amounts of data
- Prototype data driven features based on statistical modeling, machine learning, etc.
Qualifications:
- A strong interest in online social networks and network/user dynamics
- Superior intellectual, quantitative, and analytical abilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and superb attention to detail
- Experience with data mining and/or quantitative market research is a plus

Flash Developer

Front-End Web Developer
Job Duties:
Implement core functionality of the company website by designing and implementing website logic that will run efficiently and can be easily maintained. Assist in developing specifications for new features and determine technical feasibility. Design interface of the features as well as the underlying code, including business logic features that communicate with the company database and client application. Debug and maintain the website in a variety of environments, including cross-domain and cross-browser implementation. Support changes in the generation process of web pages. Maybe be assigned to various projects using skills. The ideal candidate knows when and why to use tables, has knowledge of when an XMLHTTPRequest is useful versus when it is just cool, and can hand tune markup for efficient rendering.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, Graphic Design or related field, and 3 years in the job offered or related software or web development experience. Education/Experience must include the following:
- Expertise in building and maintaining web pages using HTML, CSS, and object-oriented JavaScript
- 1-3 years experience in at least one typical web programming language (Python, PHP, Perl, Ruby, etc.)

MySQL Database Architect
Description:
The IT department at Slide is looking for an experienced database architect and administrator with a focus on MySQL performance, query review, redundancy, and backup. If you want a hand in scaling out infrastructure the right way, contact us!
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for the smooth operation of Slide's database infrastructure, including: coordination and collaboration with developers on queries and feature implementation; management of database instance configuration, replication, failover, and migration; designing and implementing a high-performance, redundant, and highly scalable database infrastructure.
Requirements:
- 4 years or more of production MySQL architecture experience on Linux.
- Solid tuning experience with MySQL, MyISAM, InnoDB, and SQL.
- Prefer OLTP experience.
- Strong foundation of IT knowledge desired.
- 5 years or more of general production database administration on various platforms a plus (Oracle, PostgreSQL, Solaris, etc).

Online Internet Advertising Sales Executive

Product Manager
Slide is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Product Manager to join our startup Product team.
Responsibilities:
- Managing Slide's web development including product specifications and messaging
- Managing the entire product life cycle from conception to development to release
- Determine product specifications via Market Requirements Document (MRD)
- Quantitative analysis of product/key metrics
- Initiate and prioritize projects within engineering and QA, track product development, and develop product launch plans
- Engage closely with engineering team and assist in determining the best technical implementation methods as well as reasonable execution schedule
- Establish short and long term product goals and strategies.

Senior Web Developer

Unix Systems Administrator
Description:
We're seeking a Unix systems administrator with experience in large, multi-datacenter architectures and a mastery of Unix, especially Linux. Slide is growing fast, and we need admins who can take ownership and build out a major web site the right way.
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for the excellent performance, scalability, and availability of our production and corporate environments. Coordination and collaboration with our developers and product managers is crucial. Tasks include Linux systems setup and maintenance, prototyping and designing infrastructure for new products, enhancing production and corporate site scalability, monitoring and site performance tracking, and day-to-day support of switches and load balancers.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of production Unix systems administration in a production datacenter environment.
- Emphasis on Linux in previous experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent understanding of TCP/IP, networking, firewall, and security concepts.
- Architectural experience in an Apache/MySQL environment.
- Familiarity with monitoring and configuration distribution tools (esp. nagios/puppet)

Responsibilities:
You will be responsible developing and maintaining Superpoke and other applications on Facebook, OpenSocial and other social platforms. Ideal candidate is familiar with web front-end technologies, object-oriented programming, databases, and performance optimization. Experience with social platforms (like Facebook F8) is a plus.
