Slide Launches First-Ever Widget Ad Program with Premier Brands, Social Networks

Slide Delivers New Opportunities for Brands to Interact With Consumers Through Personal Media That's Gaining Rapid Adoption across all Social Networks

SAN FRANCISCO - August 6, 2007 - Slide, Inc., the world's largest online personal media network, today announced it will launch the first-ever widget ad program that will give brand marketers new opportunities to engage with one of the largest and fastest growing consumer audiences on the Web. Several premier partners have signed on for the launch of Slide's advertising program through the end of the year.

Launching in the coming weeks and months, the campaigns will promote top entertainment and consumer titles and products. All companies will offer Slide users a host of creative possibilities for incorporating brand elements into their shows, including characters, animation, videos and much more.

“Slide widgets are making the social networking experience richer and more meaningful for our users; now brands have an opportunity to reach this incredibly engaged audience,” said Max Levchin, founder and CEO of Slide. “Today's announcement represents a true milestone in the evolution of widgets as an advertising medium.”

Slide now attracts more than 129 million unique monthly viewers, giving the company by far the largest audience in the widget space, according to a recent report by comScore. Slide users skew heavily toward the 18-to 34-year-old demographic and the service is popular among users of all leading social network and blog platforms, including Facebook, MySpace, Bebo, Tagged and Blogger. According to the comScore report, more than 15 percent of the global Internet audience and nearly one-third of the U.S. Internet audience are Slide viewers.

The campaigns will run across Slide's network, including multiple social network platforms like Facebook and Bebo.

“Testing in-widget advertising is another step in Bebo's commitment to help build a sustainable ecosystem around our network that benefits our partners and our users,” said Michael Birch, CEO and founder of Bebo.
